Hey Gringo…Have a go at these diablos el warco.


  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Onion Diced
  • 1 Green Capsicum Diced
  • 1/2 a small Butternut Pumpkin (approx 400g)
  • 2 Cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 Tbsp Cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp Cumin
  • 400g Lean Mince
  • 2 Tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 3/4 Cup Beef Stock
  • 1 Egg Lightly Beaten
  • 1 Packet of Puff Pastry


  1. Heat oil in a fry pan. Add onion and capsicum and cook till soft
  2. Add pumpkin, diced fairly small
  3. Add garlic and spices, cook for 5 mins
  4. Turn heat to high and add the meat, breaking in apart into very fine pieces
  5. Add tomato paste and beef stock, season well with salt and pepper.
  6. Simmer for 20mins, always reducing.
  7. Pre-Heat oven to 220c
  8. Cut pastry into large circles
  9. Place mince on half, fold over and seal with a fork end.
  10. Make 3-4 small slits on the top with a very sharp knife
  11. Brush with egg wash and bake for 15mins or untill golden brown
