This is a method to make everything bar the pasta sheets from scratch. Well worth the effort as it is one of the chart toppers. Cook it once and you will be hooked.


  • 250g Instant Lasagne Sheets
  • 150g Grated Parmesan
  • 1 Onion
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 3 Cups Diced Chicken
  • 375ml of Chick Stock
  • 150g Mushroom, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp Basil
  • 1 Tbsp Oregano
  • 400g Can Puree Tomato
  • 3 Tbsp Plain Flour
  • Pinch of Nutmeg
  • 125g Grated Cheddar/ Mozzarella


  1. Gently fry the onion in 2 Tbsp of butter
  2. Add mushroom, basil and oregano
  3. Cook until brown
  4. Mix in Tomato and chicken
  5. Cover and cook for 15mins
  6. Melt the butter over low heat, stir in flour
  7. Increase the heat and stir in stock untill smooth
  8. Stir in nutmeg and cheese until mixture thickens
  9. Season the sauce with Salt and Pepper
  10. Pour half the chicken sauce into a baking tray
  11. Cover with a lasagne sheet and pour another layer of sauce over the top
  12. Layer another lasagne sheet, followed by another layer of chicken sauce
  13. Then a layer of cheese sauce
  14. Repeat untill all the mixture is used
  15. Top with cheese sauce, tasty and parmesan then cover with foil
  16. Bake for 30-35 mins
