Melted cheese/bacon/shallot wonder dip. Cooked inside a loaf. Eat the dip with the cooked loaf.


  • 1 Small Onion, Diced
  • 1 Large Cob Loaf from the bakery
  • 4 Bacon Rashes, Diced
  • 2 Tbsp of Butter
  • 3 Shallots, Diced
  • 250g Philidelphia Cream Cheese
  • 300ml Thick Cream
  • 2 Cups Grated Cheese


  1. Simmer the onion, bacon and shallots in butter until golden
  2. Add the Phili cheese and thick cream to the mix stiring constantly
  3. Once well mixed add the cheese and heat till melted
  4. Cut the top lid off the loaf and pull out the bread center, leaving a wall at about one finger thickness
  5. Pour contents inside the loaf amd replace the lid
  6. Place in an oven untill golden brown. Usually about 1/2 hour at 160c depending on the type of loaf you get from your bakery
