Plenty of bang for your buck here. Can apply the same coating principle and freestyle the coating mix.


  • 1kg Uncooked Large King Prawns
  • 1/4 Cup Plain Flour
  • 2 Eggs, Lightly Beaten
  • 2/3 Cup dried breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 Cup Sesame Seeds
  • Oil to pan fry or a Deepfryer


  1. Peel and devein the prawns, leaving just the tail on
  2. Flatten slightly
  3. Combine breadcrumbs and sesame seeds on a flat plate
  4. Roll prawns in flour
  5. Dip the prawns in the beaten egg wash then coat with the crumb mix
  6. Heat the oil to medium-high heat
  7. Carefully lower the prawns into the oil, cook until golden brown
  8. Serve with your selection of sauces
