This is one of Nanna’s age old classics, senational every time!!!

Chewy and full of that golden syrup caramel.


  • 1cup Rolled Oats
  • 3/4 Cup Oat Bran
  • 1 Cup Plain Flour
  • 1 Tbsp Bicarb Soda
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 4 Oz Butter
  • 1 Tbsp Golden Syrup
  • 2 Tbsp Boiling Water


  1. Mix dry ingredients except Bi-Carb
  2. Melt butter and golden syrup gently in a pan
  3. Mix the Bi-Carb and boiling water then add that to the butter/syrup combo
  4. Mix thoroughly through the dry ingredients
  5. Bake on baking paper for 20 mins at 150c
  6. Ring Nan and tell her how much you love her
