This is a true one pot recipe. mix it and then cook it. it is very easy and keeps really well for a lunch the next day. Very good cold with a little balsamic on top.


  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 1/2 Cups of Milk
  • 1 Cup Chopped Bacon
  • 1 Cup of shredded cheese
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 1/2 cups of self raising flour
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp of butter
  • Tomato and Asparagus to top if you choose


  1. Beat the eggs really well
  2. Mix in flour
  3. Mix in the rest of the ingredients
  4. Lay tomato slices across the top
  5. Lay asparagus across the top
  6. Bake in pre-heated oven for 45mins @ 180c
  7. Check with a skewer to test density

You can also add chicken but it must be cooked
