Townsville Fishing Spots

The Strand has every attribute you could ask for. The fishing is just another one of its strong points. The only time I have encountered a problem is when there is too much wind or too much run in the tides.

This area boasts many varied fishing spots. There is the full walk out to the end of the break wall that is known to produce good pelagic species on a fairly regular basis. There is also good fishing just down to the left near the carpark beside the casino.

This is a fairly heavily fished area. Saying that I have been there for a good run of whiting just recently. Usually good even if just for some fun with the kids. Plenty of small stuff hanging around under the bridge.

This little creek is tidal and can produce really good fish at the right time.
