Townsville Ocean Terminal

On 13 September 2005 after reviewing a number of internal studies, the Government endorsed the development of the Townsville Ocean Terminal. It was also announced that negotiations could now commence with TABCORP/Consolidated Properties Group as the preferred developer.

The proposed Rocky Springs community is situated on a 1,594 hectare site.

Rocky Springs is located 15 kilometres south east of the Townsville CBD, with a travelling time of approximately 15 minutes.
Estimated Population
Some 35,000 to 38,000 people will eventually call Rocky Springs’ home.
Target Commencement Date
The planned commencement date for Rocky Springs is 2009.
